Would anyone have information which would add to that below on the 6th., possibly still un-named child of Samuel Bogs who moved to Philadelphia. The children named do not show any female married to a McDaniel, but one must have been as Samuel Bogs leaves a legacy to a granddaughter Ann. It is possible that the granddaughter in question was a grown woman at the time of the will and married the McDaniel in question. I just do not know.

The Samuel Bogs family lived in Warren Maine. I am searching for the origins of a Robert McDaniel, who came to Philadelphia, supposedly apprenticed to a Joseph Longstreth of that city. The only Philadelphia reference I have found regarding Robert is a mention in the will of a Mary Kirby, dated 1882, Robert McDaniel as a witness and Joseph Longstreth as an executor. It is probable that Robert arrived in Philadelphia before the date of this probate. Again, we just do not know.

Anyone who has information on the Bogs family of Warren Me. in the mid to late 1700's, or information on McDaniels in Lincoln County or surrounding counties, please contact me. I appreciate your help.

Records: Probate for Lincoln Co. lists;

Samuel Bogg's bequeath to his grandaughter Ann McDaniel.

"Annals of the Town of Warren, Maine", by Cyrus Eaton, P. 507, lists:

genealogies of the Samuel Bogg family and descendants. No mention of McDaniels but have the birth dates of the 6th. child of Samuel Bogg, in 1723. Child # 6 married and moved to Philadelphia.
