Information to all on the Metis Board. I have researched for the past five years trying to trace the "little Indian" my grandmother now deceased 1983, spoke of. Finaly as a last resort did a DNA analysis and it shows Native American Ancestry. Spent upwards in the past, many hundreds of dollars, plus untold hours searching. It was worth it and now I can go back to the genealogy that I was tracing. Later I may do an additional test that may show more direct tribe/nation or geography. Just a thought for those who are up against a stone wall! or deadend. There are several companies doing DNA for genealogy.
