Message Board Post:
Looking to trace Metis family members who went to Montana and elsewhere after dispersal from Red River and/or from Alberta after 1885 Rebellion. Specifically descendants- siblings, uncle, cousins- of Jean Baptiste Larocque and Julie Lemire and also descendants of Norbert Welsh and Celciel Boyer or any of their siblings/offspring.
Jean Baptiste Larocque was last traced to Glasgow Montana in 1900 (scrip address). Some of his children also gave Montana adresses in 1900 scrip applications. I also am specifically seeking to find out what may have happened to Adelaide Larocque-Adam, ie where/when she may have died. Possible other names for Adelaide are Adelaide Levesque, Adelaide Adam (married Babtiste Adam 1884), Blanche Adam, Adelaide or Blanche Millar. Last known location was Pincher Creek Alberta 1896, (signed for marriage of daughter Mary Simon to William Henry Welsh), or 1906 Cowley Alberta Censu going by name of Blanche Adam, with children Isabel and Geroge Adam.
