Serena,
I assume Lupins to be a plant or a flower, I am not familiar with them
by that specific name. I do remember the smell of the oil that my mother
rendered from the fat of skunks and other animals that was used to ward
off colds or pneumonia. This was in turn quite effective in also warding
off any other humann in the general public.
This reminds me of an article in the Ann Landers column many, many years
ago.
Someone had written in and asked if something he had been told had any
truth behind it.
He said that he had been told that an old man that the best way to avoid
a cold in the Winter was to fqllow this advice.
You were to put on long underwear in September never take them off or
bathe until May.
Anns reply was."Colds are primarily transmitted by close contact with
other human beings that may be infected with the cold germ. To follow
this sage advice you elimate any possibility of close contact with any
other human, infected or not".
Perhaps therein lies the the medicinal value of Lupins, prevention
rather than cure :)
