I have a Franklin M. Tower from Lincolnville who served with the 4th Maine
Infantry during the Civil War. He was 21 years of age at the time of his
enlistment and was transferred to the Invalid Corps in 1863. After that,
I've lost track of him and I'm not sure if he would be Ella's father or not.
Might be worth a shot. The age would be right.
