Hi Stew,

I've responded to you on another List, but I just noticed something I forgot
to respond to. I've seen a copy of the "History of New Ipswich," probably
in the Special Collections Room of the Haverhill (MA) Public Library.
And, I think I copied a few pages out of it, but I don't remember copying
($$) every page which mentioned the KIDDER's.

My ancestor was Joseph KIDDER, one of three brothers from Westford, MA
(Chelmsford, MA), who left the area to help found New Ipswich, NH, in the
1730's. (Brothers were Aaron, and more well-known Reuben KIDDER.)

Joseph moved his family to the next town, Temple, NH. One of his youngest
was Calvin KIDDER, who left the area around Age 18 (~1783) to migrate to
Canada. He probably joined a HITCHINGS family and probably other southern
NH families who were heading to Nova Scotia. They settled in what was soon
to become New Brunswick.

Betty (near Lowell, MA)

FYI: I just moved to a new home one month ago, and do not have ready
access to my boxes .. of genealogy papers. But, I do have my Billerica
book handy.
Two of my "wishes" are to own my own copy of the "History of Chelmsford" and
the "History of New Ipswich."
