My name is Miguel Serrato, I found this page by accident I am impressed and touched on how many Serratos are out there looking for their roots. I also have been inquiring about my family tree mostly by word of mouth from my grandparents and great uncles.

I was born on May 26, 1959 in the town of Acutzeramo Michoacan in Mexico. I move to Orange County in 1971, I am married and have to children. Believe it or not my father Samual Serrato Serrato married my mother Soledad Serrato Cortes they say that they were not related but ????.

The oldest family members that I know about from my Dad's Father side were Bernabe & Agnelita Serrato her maiden name was Martinez. They had severl children I know of two children Petronilo and Jose Serrato Petronilo was my Grand Father.

>From my Dad's Mother side were Vicente and Gertrudes Serrato who had several kids I only know of 4 boys Gregorio, Miguel, Jesus, and Francisco Serrato. Francisco Serrato, was my Grand Mother Angelita's Father.

There was also a Benigno Serrato who became the Governador de Michoacan, but I don't know how he was related.

As far as I know the pepople I named above all lived Acuitzeramo Michoacan, with the exception of Miguel Serrato who moved to Orange County when he was young and married someone from a Solorio family and had kids who all live in Orange County. Natividad, Salvador, Lita Serrato.
