LOCAL MGS MEMBERS

Belk Department Store at Bel-Air Mall and Springdale is providing an awesome
opportunity to all non-profit agencies and clubs to raise money for their
organizations. Each ticket sold has a 100% return. The tickets are $5.00
each. Organizations participating keep 100% of every ticket sold and each
participating agency will automatically be entered into a drawing for a
$1,000.00 donation. The Belk Holiday Charity Sale which will be held on
Saturday, November 15, 2008 from 6:00 A,M. to 10:00 A.M. is offered only to
customers who purchase one of these $5.00 tickets from a participating
organization. The ticket holder will also receive a special book filled
with incredible savings of 20% - 50% off rarely discounted brands plus the
ticket holder will receive $5.00 off his or her first purchase recouping the
total cost of the ticket purchased..

The Mobile Genealogical Society has successfully participated in this sale
in the past and will be selling tickets again this year. If you would be
willing to purchase a ticket or better yet, would like to order multiple
tickets from your society to sell to others, please call the library at

and we will see that you receive tickets. Tickets may
also be purchased at our library or at the Seminar on October 11. Thank you
so much for your support in this fund-raising opportunity.

MGS is also having a workday at the library on Monday, October 6 from 10:00
to 3:00 to clean the library and prepare "goody" bags for the Seminar. If
you can give an hour or more to help your society prepare for this big
event, please come. Your help will be gratefully appreciated.
