Subject: Michigan 12th Infantry

My family lines include four brothers who served together in the Michigan
12th Regiment and are all listed as privates. Three did not survive the
war, we have not been able to determine where or when or how they died but
certainly it was during there term of service June to August of 1863.

Research assistance or direction would be appreciated. The three that did
not survive were George Washington Rigg, Meredith Rigg and Thornton Rigg.

The brother that survived was Austin Rigg (s), he raised a family but all
remembrance appears to be lost.
