Hello,

Is it possible to find where a pension payment was mailed to and when it eventually stopped due to death or re-marriage? My 2nd great granduncle Andrew Jackson Capen died in Salisbury prison in 1865 and his wife Rosannah (Smith)Capen claimed his pension in 1865, in about 1882 his father Nahum Whitcomb Capen tried to claim the pension saying Rosannah had re-married. Apparently his claim was rejected. I cannot find her in any census records and I was hoping that I might be able to find where the pension was going and when it stopped, the pension file I have for Andrew doesn't show either.

Any advice on where to turn to next would be appreciated.
