Wow. Thanks for the quick and helpful responses. This is the fist time I have ever used one of these message boards. I would love to get copies of the pension records, the photos and the additional letter, if possible. I am happy to send you copies of the letters I have along with my transcriptions. My plan is to scan all the letters and transcriptions onto a disk when I am done compiling my thesis. This way, I can make the materials available to as many people as are interested.

Let me know where to send them. No charge. The expense is minimal.

Unfortunately, the Fifth Michigan letters do not have any mention of Chancellorsville or Edwin Sherlock. I am happy to forward them to you anyway, if you like.
