Mr. Merle H. Bradfield - Milo Rd, Rte 3, Delton, Passed away suddenly Tuesday morning (18 Apr 1972) at Pennock Hospital, Hastings. Mr. Bradfield was born August 18, 1898, in Dowagiac, the son of John and Ida Cook Bradfield. He was employed by the Shakespeare Co. for 11 years and later had lived and farmed on the Milo Road since 1932. Mr. Bradfield was Prairieville Township Supervisor from 1953 to 1963, and chairman of the County Board of Supervisors for one year. He was a life member of Kalamazoo Moose Lodge No. 88. On Feb 20, 1926, he was married to Leone Wilcox, in South Bend, Ind., who survives. Also surviving are one son, Jack of Rte 3, Delton; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest of Dowagiac. Friends are being received at the Williams Funeral Home, Delton, where services will be held Friday at 2 o’clock, Rev. Bruce Bromley officiating. Interment in Prairieville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bernard Museu!
