Mr. Cecil Newman - Passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, (1972) at the home of his daughter in Middleville. He was 74 years old, born Jan. 14, 1898, in Shipsewana, Indiana, son of Frank and Della Newman. Married to Beatrice Minnick, June 15, 1920, who preceded him in death May, 1970. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Borton Friend, of Middleville; Mrs. Bruce Graves of Portage; one son, Cecil E., of Kalamazoo; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at Fogelsong’s Funeral Home in Sturgis where services will be conducted by Reverend Wayne Cash of the Free Methodist Church, Middleville, at 1:30, Wednesday.
