We are direct descendents of Elhanon Phettiplace, think he is the same one you are looking for, he homesteaded in Emmet Co, Petoskey MI (close to Charleovix Co.) after his service in the Civil War, and is buried close by in Clarion MI, we've visited his gravesite many times. Anything else I can tell you--where are you located? I have a short biograply of hiim from an old book, would you be interested in the info?
