I have no idea about where the records are, but to start to try and find
out, I am wondering did the obit give any reference to what demonimation of
church this was; such Methodist, Baptist, etc...? That would help us start
to look since the national bodies for the demoninations often know where
local records are if they don't have them. I am interested too to find out
about local records, since many of my relatives lived in Hickory corners
area. But except for Rev Leonard Slater's mission which I know was Baptist,
I personally have not run across anything that I heard of any church that
may of existed in Hickory corners. What was the year of the obit, that may
also give a clue as to the time frame the church existed. I doubt the church
is still there now.
Maybe Bernard Historical socity (very close by) would have someone who knows
the name of the church or better yet where the records might be.
