OLSON, Roger E.
Delton

Passed away, May 27, 2006, in Kalamazoo. Roger was born on July 14, 1933, in Chicago, the son of Rev Earl and Anna (Ekendahl) Olson. He was a graduate of Cornell College in 1955, and worked in factory management until starting his own management consulting business in 1976. He served clients in Europe and the United States until his retirement. On August 20, 1954, in Chicago, he married Carol Froberg, who survives. Roger and Carol moved to Richland in 1973, and to Delton in 1993. He loved tinkering with old cars and spending time with his family. Roger was a charter member of the Delton Area Rotary Club, and served a term on the District 6360 Foundation. A member of the VASA Order of America, where he served as former officer at both the local and district level. Other members of his family include children; David and Wendy Olson, Richard and Angela Olson, Judith and Michael Gillespie, all of Kalamazoo, eight grandchildren, a sister Marilyn Sigler of Chicago Heights, IL, an!
d several nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and their oldest son Donald in 1984. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, May 31, 2006, 2:00 PM at Yorkville Community Church, in Richland, with Rev. Leroy Johnson, officiating. Friends may meet with the family one hour before the service at the church. Private inurnment of cremains at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Yorkville Community Church, Delton Area Rotary Club, or Richland Community Library will be appreciated. Arrangements by Williams-Gores Funeral Home, Delton.
