Age 85
Of Delton

Died peacefully Friday, August 31, 2007 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born in Kalamazoo on October 7, 1921 the daughter of Emmett and Florence (Egan) Hawley. She was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo, Delton and Hickory Corners Area. Betty was married to Julius Bedecs who preceded her in death, along with daughter Judy Ann and son Edward Julius. She is survived by her daughters Nancy Jane Devine and Patricia Lassiter Burrus. Her brother Emmett Hawley and sister Marie Hedges also survive her. Her grandchildren are MSgt. Martin Julius, C. Nathan, Nicholas, Jenna Bedecs, as well as Jennifer Bontomasi, and David Jason Devine. Betty enjoyed reading, gardening, and writing letters. She worked at Georgia Pacific Paper Company in Kalamazoo and retired from Delton Kellogg Schools. She will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed. At the request of the family a memorial visitation will be held 2:00 - 4:00 PM today at the
