Are there any HESS, ENOS, BOONE, ADAM, EISELE, or HARROFF? They were mostly
in the country but I'd like to see if they are mentioned.

Hello fellow Berrien researchers.
I have just finished creating an index for The Real McCoy--The Story of a
Creek and Its Town, by Norma Stevens, printed and published in 1975 by
Record
Publishing Company. This is about the earliest days of the town of
Buchanan
in the southern part of Berrien County (my home town.) Most of the names
recorded within it are in relation to the various businesses and
organizations which created and shaped the community and the surrounding
area
from 1666 to around 1945. The bulk of the coverage is of the 1800s.
I have no plans to publish this anywhere as I do not know what the
copyright
issues might be, but I am willing to do lookups for specific individual or
business names if you would like to contact me.
Stay cool!
