June 25, 1932 - March 3, 1994 - Niles, Claude B. SIMPSON, 61, of 607 N. Third St., died at 5:25 a.m. Thursday in Pawating Hospital of natural causes. Mr. SIMPSON was a retired cabinet maker. He was born June 25, 1932, in Buchanan, and was a lifelong area resident. On Aug. 28, 1951, in South Bend, he married Josephine Jean REIST. She survives with three daughters, Claudia GREGOR of Niles, Claudette BOETTCHER of Mishawaka, and Mary ELLSWORTH of Marcellus; four sons, Claude B "Dutch." Oliver R. "Bob," Otto "Dino," and Oscar, all of Niles; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild, eight sisters, Catherine GABBEART, Louise LAWRENCE and Wanda CLARK, all of Niles, Marjory LEMONS of Three Oaks, Delores BACKUS, Jean DYBEE and Kay HOUSE, all of Buchanan, and Georgia SIMPSON of South Bend; and five brothers, Bob, Frank and Delano, all of Niles, and John and Michael, both of Buchanan. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemeter!
