Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. No, I am not directly related to William CLAPSADDLE or SMITH families. I do have a CLAPSADDLE ancestor related to all the CLAPSADDLE families who were in Niagara Co., NY, where he came from.
I have seen others interested in the SMITH family, so I guess you got in touch with them. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't mixing up the William CLAPSADDLEs from Niagara County who were about the same ages. I believe I have it right that he was the son of Rudolph CLAPSADDLE.
Thank you for what you told me about where he is buried and his death date.
