Thank you for the response. When I was young, I remember the Hobus name in discussion on the Lutzke-Debbert family. The Lutzke's were from Pommern (the Daber region) and Debbert was from Kolberg/Colberg, a port city in Pommerania. I have a picture of Frank and Fredericka Rubach Debbert.
As far as the Hobus connection, Ameila D. Debbert was a sister to my great grandmother. She was born on May 27, 1891 in Clarence Township, Michigan. She died on February 1, 1977 in Albion, Michigan. Albert Hobus was born in 1885 and died in 1961 and they were married May 13, 1913.
I do have Alfred and Leonard's birthdates and then Terry, Dennis and Mark's birth dates. However, that is all I have on the Hobus family.
The fact that the Hobus family is also from Pommern leads me to believe they were friends in the old world.
