ESTEEMED FARWELL LADY CALLED TO REWARD SATURDAY
Last Rites Held Monday for Mrs. George Davison, Was Active in Church Work

Margaret Anna Holmes, daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Holmes was born in
Madoc, Hastings Co., Ont., Oct. 18th, 1867 and departed this life Aug. 1st,
1936, at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 12 days.

She came to Lapeer Michigan, in 1872 and the following year to Farwell, where
she has lived since.

She was united in marriage to Geo. Davison March 18th, 1891. To this union
were born five children: one daughter who died in infancy and four sons, one
of whom, Lynn, proceded his mother in death by four years.

Early in life she heard God's voice calling "Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in Him, and he shall bring it to pass." Ps. 37:5 and she joined the
M. E. church when about 18 years of age. She was also a member and great
worker in the W.R.C.W.C.T.U. and Ladies Aid.
