Hope to find this out for you eventually unless someone else can answer.
In 1940 number 137 Princes Street was occupied by Madame Tensfeldt. It was
next to Macvitties, Guest & Co's function rooms at the West End near the
corner of South Charlotte Street.
No 25 George Steet , between the George Hotel and the top of Hanover Street
(north side) was occupied by Marshall & Aitken in 1940. Messrs Roneo were
next door (there's still a copy shop there). Even in 1940, there was still a
miniature painter in George Street: W. Hill Thomson R.M.S., at number 82A
close to the Northern Lighthouse Board office.
