Here I go again! I sent the following message yesterday and was promtly told by several mailing lists that I messed up.

I'm searching for my grandfather Patrick McFadyen, also his brother William. According to Patrick's death certificate he was an instalment collector married to May Banks of 18 Pitt Street, Newcastle-on-tyne. Patrick died August 27th, 1907 at an Edinburgh infirmary. Patrick's parents were Samuel McFadyen and Ann McFadyen(nee Peel). William McFadyen of Blairfordel Cottage by BlairAdam was informant. No trace of William or May who may have changed her name to Parsons at some point.

Would appreciate any information you may have. Also, where to start looking or the name of a reputable researcher in your area with reasonable rates.
