My first posting on this didn't appear on list so sending again ! Hi Listers:

After several years of researching for the death date and place of death for my gggrandmother Agnes NIVEN nee REEKIE, I believe that I have found the most likely locale - Stockbridge, Edinburgh - sometime between 1852 and 1855. I understand that Stockbridge is an area in the City of Edinburgh.

My questions then are: what cemetery might she have been buried in and what Church of Scotland parishes would have been in that area at that time?

The family was of humble means. Her husband Robert Niven was a stone cutter if that helps.

I need all the help that I can get on this one because I don't know where to start looking in this area. Any and all suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks, Violet Niven Hecnar in Canada
