Hello Desni,

I have looked at the 1848-49 Edinburgh & Leith Street & Trade Directory, and it lists a William Bell, Ironmonger (and also a J.Bell) at 36 Victoria Street, Edinburgh. So this suggests that David McKenzie may have moved into those premises later during 1849.

The only possibly connected David McKenzie in this directory, is one listed as a surgical instrument maker & cutler, living at 48 Nicholson Street.
