I don't know if there is any connection but I have SINCLAIR family in
Edinburgh earlier in the 1800's. I start with the marriage of James to
Catherine MASCARAN at St Cuthbert's Parish, Edinburgh, 1831. They had the
following children (all born in Newton) -
Allison 1832, John 1833, Elizabeth 1835, James 1837, Catherine 1840, William
1844.
I know that Allison, James, Catherine and William migrated to Australia, and
also the mother after the death of the father. I don't know what happened
to John or Elizabeth (except she had died prior to the death of the mother
in 1887). Maybe there is a connection??
