I have rejoined this group after a few years' absence. Since I was last here I've found a lot more about the families of my grandfather's siblings. He was Andrew DOWNIE, born in Leith in 1875. He emigrated to South Africa as a young man. As far as I know, his siblings remained in the Leith area.

The surnames I'm interested in are COCKBURN, CONDIE, CUDMORE, HERIOT, McCANN, SADDLER and SCOTT (William).
