Hello list,

Once again I'm trying to break down my brick wall re my Shaw ancestors.

I have found from David SHAW's death cert. that his mother was Elizabeth
SHAW ,
Was David illegitimate ? as I can find no birth record for him, he was born
abt 1815.

I was wondering if any one has access to the 1841 census for Gilmerton or
surrounds , so they could see if she is on it.

I think Elizabeth b. 1795 Liberton, may be the Elizabeth daughter of David
SHAW b. abt 1772-5 and Janet WRIGHT. m. 1792 Edinburgh.
According to the IGI this David was the son of John SHAW and Betty VEITCH of
Inverkeithing, Fife.
