The Kirk Session records are available at the National Archives of Scotland.
Very few have been microfilmed.
In the meantime If anyone has relatives in the Liberton, Newton area in the
1700's, give me their names etc and I can see if I've got anything in the
various notes I already have from some of these session minutes or maybe I
might
remember seeing an entry.
I've also put some names of coalminers from Gilmerton (1738-41) and Niddry
coalworks (Jan.1760) on my website (hoodfamily.info)
