Is anyone working on the above family? I have an Isobel GEDDES marrying a John RAE at St Cuthberts on 29 July 1799, her father is given as James Geddes a shoemaker of St Cuthberts Parish.

I have not been able to find a birth date for Isobel so far but have found a likely line going back from her as follows:

A baptIsm for James GEDDES 13 April 1744 at St Cuthberts- (seems a good match given the date and parish) with parents David GEDDES and Isabell ANDERSON (Scottish naming trradition would seem to support this) also a birth for a Janet Geddes 4 May 1740 to the same parents. (see below for another naming tradition connection)

A birth for a David GEDDES 14 July 1712 at Edinburgh Parish to Robert GEDDES and Janet MURRAY.

Finally a baptism for an Isabell Anderson 1 February 1719 to a David ANDERSON and Janet DUNCAN

These are all on the LDS site and also on Scotlands people so would seem to be fairly aithentic at this stage.

Any thoughts or confirmatory information would be gratefully received!
