dear Listers,
My first posting met with such a good response that I thought I'd try my luck again!
Does anyone know anything about artist Jock BLAIR? He was probably John Blair who painted border scenes and east coast villages in watercolour. Exhibition period 1880-1920. Exhibited in the Scottish Academy. Family tradition says that my 2xgreat grandmother Isabella Smith, born Coldingham in 1814 was in some way related to this artist, but I don't know about him let alone trace a connection. Can anyone give me any leads? Her parents were David Smith and Isabella Blackie.
Best wishes,
Mary
