I believe burial place was recorded only on death certificates from
1855-1860.

Best wishes,

Thank you. I have lots of information on my family, but sometimes, before
1855, I am at a loss as to when some died. I also do not get the burial
place on all the records from Scotlandspeople. I did get one recently, it
was a separate column on the registration, but it was the first time I had
seen that. I will now try the FHC, I don't really want to pay for an
Ancestry.com subscription. If my FHC doesn't have access, (it is a very
small one) I will have to go to another city, about 45 minutes away and I
have to book time in advance on the computer. So...if all that doesn't
work, a subscription might be inevitable.

Good luck in all your hunting!
