can use a credit card to access the scotlandspeople website which has those things and a lot more depending on the years you are after.

Costs 6 pounds for 30 credits and you have a week to use them. Costs a credit to see a page of results for a search and 5 credits to download the actual image to see what's on it. May as well use up the 30 credits to look for extra items, eg further BDMs or relevant census entries.

Hi everyone,

This is my first time on this list and I'm trying to help a friend.

She would like to obtain information on a marriage and a death but does not want to obtain certified certificates of the items. Would some kind soul please let us know if it possible to obtain the info off the registers without buying the actual certificates?

We'd appreciate any help on how this might be done.
