I ran away to marry a girl when neither family approved as far as I can
tell. As for the Huguenots, they sure werent around in the 13th century
and my ancestors of that name were - I havent traced a line of course that
far back, but the name is there - and they dont appear on any Huguenot
records. But the grandmother of the people who said this had three sons and
no husband, and these people where staunch Victorian churchgoers ..... So
that is an explanation. Actually I think it is more interested that the
step mother of Robert of Loxley who is contender for being the real Robin
Hood, if indeed there is one, is called Lucy Du Ros.

And an ancestor Emacina DuRos married Sir Geoffrey de Bakpuss, making me
descended from the pink and white cloth cat!

Sorry I am rambling, I am on pain killers which are making me odder than
