Does anyone on the list have a connection to George ROBERTSON (aka ROBISON)
and Ann RESTOUN, who I believe were married in Midlothian - perhaps
Dalkeith? - sometime prior to 1739? Or can any kind and knowledgable soul
add anything to the following tree? ;-)

I know George ROBERTSON and Ann RESTOUN had at least two children (there is
also a Thomas ROBERTSON/ROBISON mentioned in a baptism, below, who may also
be a son):

1. Robert ROBERTSON, who witnessed the baptism of his nephew, William
URQUHART, on 18 Dec 1763, Dalkeith, Midlothian. Can't find a birth/baptism
for Robert.

2. Mary ROBERTSON, bap 25 Nov 1739, Dalkeith, Midlothian.

Mary ROBERTSON (b. 1739, above) married William URQUHART in circa 1762 -
again, probably in Dalkeith, but I can't find their marriage anywhere. Mary
and William (who were my 6G Grandparents) had at least five children, and
I'm hoping these childrens' godparents/baptism witnesses might provide a
clue to further information:

1. William URQUHART, born 16 Dec 1763; bap 18 Dec 1763, Dalkeith. Baptism
witnesses: "George ROBERTSON, Elder, & Robert ROBERTSON his son".

2. John URQUHART, born 7 Feb 1766; bap 9 Feb 1766, Dalkeith. Baptism
witnesses: George ROBISON and Robert BURN.

3. Anne URQUHART, born 7 Aug 1767; bap 9 Aug 1767, Dalkeith. Baptism
witnesses: George ROBISON and Robert ROBISON.

4. Alexander URQUHART, born 31 Mar 1770; bap 8 Apr 1770, Dalkeith; died 20
Feb 1821, Dundee, Angus. Occupation: Cork Cutter. Baptism witnesses:
George ROBERTSON and George FLETCHER. Married Margaret KERR, "daughter of
the deceased William KERR late Shoemaker in Leith" in South Leith, 4 Jan
1788.

5. Thomas URQUHART, born 22 Sep 1773; bap 27 Sep 1773, Dalkeith. Baptism
witnesses: Thomas ROBISON and Alexander URQUHART.

If anyone can add anything to the above, I will be extremely grateful!

Best wishes,

Sue
