Alan,
I would take the scotlandspeople names as being correct. Sometimes the
I.G.I. records are not correct.
I have been collecting data for Barrie/y families hoping to have a book
combining the siblings of my 5 x great grandfather & their families &
various occupations, for my relatives.
From I.G.I. of a Thursday in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia you may meet
with their members & obtain any information available.
They had given me a printout for 11 children of a Patrick Barrie, from 1737 -
1756, of these in 1739 were a Jean & John baptized the same month, & again
in 1743 when my 5 x Grt g'fther was born was a William baptized the same
date, so they thought they would be twins.

Over the past 10 years I've gathered data for these siblings where possible
& now have a tree with about 1900 people.
During this time much has also been gathered from I.G.I. then used to
purchase b.m.& d's from scotlandspeople. I had purchased copies of births
for a couple & marriages which were expensive. A few days ago I decided to
buy 12 GB pounds of units to obtain the baptisms of the other siblings as it
is now available & cheaper this way.
WELL, what a surprise,
The twins are not related, they have father's named Patrick, but from
different areas of Forfar, & in different jobs.
Of the 11, I think only 5 are siblings.
So please be careful & aware that I.G.I. is super for finding people but
isn't reliable whereas Scotlandspeople's info is from church records &
reliable.
Is actually worth the expense, but in my case I've spent too much finding
details of non siblings.
Also, in Australia to purchase a b.d.m., is from $18 to $28. Our $ = 2 1/2
to 1 GB pound so compares quite well.
Hope this will assist in your searching.

Best regards
Barbara
