Dear Listers,

I'm hoping someone can help me learn about more John Blair, Landscape Artist (1849-1934). John was born in Paxton, Berwickshire to humble parents. Somehow he got to Art School in Edinburgh and did well. His paintings still sell at auctions around the country for decent prices. He married Margaret Hume sometime before 1901. As no children were mentioned in his obituary I thought that they were childless but a posting on an American website (link now inoperative) suggests otherwise. I would like to know more of his life and achievements, and if he had descendants who they were.
