Hi all

I am researching the family of JOHN THOMSON who died
at Craigvilla in Dirleton May 1875. His parents are
given as HAMILTON THOMSON shipowner and JEAN
DONALDSON. Census information gives him as being from
Northumberland, England.

JOHN's occupation was a pawnbroker and in earlier
census he is given as residing at 44 South Bridgend in
Edinburgh.

His married JEAN SKIRVING from East Lothian. I have
found no date so far for this marriage however their
first child was born in 1827.

His son THOMAS DONALDSON THOMSON married ANNIE DUNBAR
FRASER in Edinburgh in 1872. They resided at
Dirleton.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who is
researching this family.
