Hi Roberta,

I have connections to Peter DUNCAN (b 1841, in Tranent. d 1907 in Utah) who married Anne McNEIL (b c1838 in Gladsmuir). They were members of the LDS church. I also have REID connections in Tranent through my BROWN grandmother.

I can't find a John O. McNEIL unfortunately but do you recognise Anne in your line?

As far as I have gotten on my MCNEIL/MCNEILL family in Scotland is the
following:
JOHN MCNEIL/MCNEILL b. abt 1803, Tranent married CATHERINE KERR 1 Aug
1828 (daughter of WALTER KERR), b. abt. 1804, Tranent.
Children are:
JOHN O. MCNEIL/MCNEILL 1 Aug 1837 Tranent, d. 1900, Columbiana Co., Ohio
THOMAS MCNEIL/MCNEILL b. 1 Jun 1841 Tranent
JANET MCNEIL/MCNEILL b. 22 Nov. 1829, Tranent
MARION MCNEIL/MCNEILL b. 8 Dec. 1834 Tranent
WALTER MCNEIL/MCNEILL b. 20 Jun 1839 Tranent
The McNeil/McNeill information I have is US based, because of John O. and
Agnes Reid McNeil having imigrated to the America in the early 1870's.
The McNeil/McNeill family in Scotland is a new venture I'm on.
