Its a very common name so unless you give some more details it would
be difficult for anyone to help. For example, likely place of birth
and names of the other people in the family and where they were
living before going to the US.

When you say you have looked for her, where have you looked? eg
censuses, BMDs, hospital records? Are there any relatives who could
have left money for her support in a will?
