Walloon lake
Dr. and Mrs. Hildner were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Veith.
The ladies of the Walloon Lake Guild have completed six lap robes for
convalescing soldiers at Battle Creek.
C. Heydenburk, of Petoskey, attended Sunday school here last Sunday. A
good attendance was reported.
Mr. and Mrs. David Kent and baby of Charlevoix, spent Sunday with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kent.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Jensen and baby of Lansing, are visiting his
parents Mr. and Mrs. August Jensen.
Mr. and Mrs. Karl Tillapaugh, of Lansing, were home for a few days
recently. Mr. Tillapaugh is a bus driver.
William Dey is able to be out after a few weeks illness. Irma Gibbs was
a guest at the Dey home on Monday evening.
A good crown attended the dance on Saturday night at the Community Hall
given for the benefit of the Dean Scroggie Service Club.
Kenneth Tillapaugh S. P. 3/c, and Mrs. Tillapaugh, of Norfolk, Va.,
spent a few days here visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ed Tillapaugh.
Pfc Walter Wasoski is spending a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Carl Wasoski. He plans to return to McKinney, Texas, soon.
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Whitfield and children, Mary and James, Jr. returned
to Saginaw Sunday evening following a few days visit with his mother,
Mrs. G. W. Whitfield.
Those from Walloon lake attending the meeting of the Blue Star Mothers
at Boyne City on Monday evening were Mrs. Kent, Mrs. Veith, Mrs. Jensen
and Mrs. Fineout.
