Rufus was born 11 Feb 1907 in Ladysmith British Columbia, Canada. His father was Andrew Byykkonen and as far as the family said his father died in the mines. His mother was Anna Burkman. I was told some of the children were adopted by family members. This information is from his SS application. With Anna and Frank Emil marrying in 1908 I assume he was raised as a Wuolukka
