Messer, Donald R. St. Johns, MI Died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at the age of 79. He was a retired engineer from the Sealed Power Corporation and a US Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Don is survived by his wife of 36 years, Catharine Messer of St. Johns, four children, Bryan (Charlene) Messer of Kentwood, Michigan, Stephen (Julie) Parker of Ringos, New Jersey, Marilyn (Duane) Becker and Kevin Parker of St. Johns, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, one brother, Floyd (Wava) Messer of Fowler. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two children, Shawn & Dawn Messer. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the Osgood Funeral Home, 104 E. Cass St., burial at South Bingham Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Masonic Service at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, 700 W. Ash St., Mason, MI 48854.
