I am really new at this but there are so many things I would like to find out about both my families. There is no one left to ask about dates or anything that i know about so could you give me some places to maybe start my searches. Alot of secrets are being found out. I'm not even sure I'm my dad's daughter...hope I am but I found a brother that we never knew we had. So there seems to be alot of secrets in our family. I know they lived in lansing MI when I was about 2 or so.We went by train to see my grandparents. I also know I had cousins but do not remember any names. I was also told my father had a twin brother that died very young. My father died in a fishing accident when i was seven. I am now one month away from being 59. My mothers maiden name was Lance. They lived on the reservation in Montana. Pryor to be exact. My other Grandmother's name was Lance, Margaret and grandfather was Charles Ray or Raymond. They moved to Washington, but I donot know when. We lived in Ri!
verton Heights from the age of 6-21. My Grandmother passed when I was 16 and my grandfather when I was 20+. There were 5 children. Three boys and two girls. I know more of them as they raised me after my father passed. The Grandparents in MI i hardly knew anything. I was told they came from Poland. Neither spoke english as my cousin translated the letters she use to write to me. My mother was born in March of 1925 or 26. So I would say my fatherwas around the same time. He was in the Navy. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would really like to know more about both familys since no one is left to ask. Thank you so much for your help.
Sincerely,
Zelda
