1873 Atlas of the State of Michigan

http://www.historic-atlas-series.com/ (select Michigan from the map)

This abridged digital version of the 1873 Atlas of the State of Michigan includes 124 pages of statistics and descriptions of Michigan's Civil History, Railways and Educational Institutions, and a Gazetteer of:

* Places
* Railroad Stations
* Post Offices
* Landings
* Lakes, Rivers, Islands
* Cities, Towns and Villages

The atlas features individual maps of every county, (see example at web page above) as well as, maps of the cities of Detroit and Grand Rapids. Please note: original image quality varied and, as a result, areas of some pages are less distinct than others.

Bonus Maps:

Also included on each CD are a set of (6) high resolution scanned images of Michigan railroad maps dating from 1848-1886.

The Adobe Acrobat Reader for MS Windows is needed to view, zoom, pan and print from the PDF map images contained in this atlas; and is included free on each CD. No other software is necessary. The map data has been created and configured using the latest version of the Adobe Acrobat Reader (6.0) for MS Windows (98, 98SE, XP, NT and 2000). The maps may be viewed in earlier versions of the software as well; however, optimum use of the data can be expected using the Adobe Reader 6.0 that is included on this CD.

1873 Atlas of the State of Michigan CD is also available to eBay buyers:
