Asa Wright, b. abt. 1814 NY, md. Sally Ann Hyatt in Huron Co, OH and came to White Oak Twp, Ingham County by 1850.

had children: Henry Willam (sometimes William Henry), b. 1839 OH; Mary Ann, b. 1842 OH; Charlotte M., b. 1850 MI; and Eugene C., b. 1855, MI.

He died btw. 1860-1870; might have been a casualty of the Civil war. Sally Ann was still alive and living with her eldest son in the 1880 census with his wife Laura and daughters Sophronia b. 1868 & Emma, b. 1873.

He may have been the son of William Wright & Plumilla Hart of Chautauqua Co, NY, who are known to have had a son Asa b. abt. 1815, and the Huron Co. marriage is consistent with the migration of other family members.

I have no reason to believe Asa is related to any of the other Wrights in Ingham Co.

I'd appreciate any information on Asa and his family.
