Of Okemos, MI

Albert W. Leathers made his transition to his Heavenly Home on September 5, 2007, at the age of 86. Albert was a real estate developer, broker and builder. He served as a First Lt. in the 15th Air Force in Italy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy on July 29, 2003. Surviving are his son, William M. Leathers; grandsons, Adam (Danielle) and David (Jessica); granddaughter, Gretchen (Jay); great-grandchildren, Emily, Evan, Mason, Robert and John. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 8, 10:00 AM at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East Lansing with Pastor Joe Dabrowski of the First Baptist Church of Okemos, officiating. Interment will follow in Glendale Cemetery, Okemos. The family will receive friends at the Chapel Friday from 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial Honor Program FH, One St. Jude Place Bldg., P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 300, Me!
