Hi everyone,
I am looking for information on William Russell, According to the Ross
collection he died Oct. 25, 1910. I had no idea any of my mining ancestors
had come to Michigan, Most of them were in Jermyn, Lackawanna Co, Pa, this
is where 3 of his sisters and his parents settled. William is the son of
Emanual and Harriet Russell, he was b.1850 St. Hilary, Cornwall, England.
On the Iron CO, web page I found reference to a William Russell in the
History of Crystal City, There is a Russell listed for Iron River Cemetery,
and I found the following listed in the 1913 Crystal City, City directory:
Russell Edward teamster 209 Michigan av.
Russell Eliza Wm widow 209 Michigan av.
Russell Margaret teacher 209 Michigan av.
Russell Vina teacher 209 Michigan av.
Does someone have access to the 1900 or 1910 Census? I'd like to know if
this is William's family. He isn't listed in the 1870 Index but the rest of
his family didn't come over until 1872.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
