I am currently doing research on the Larive family and Doney families that settled in the Jackson Co. area. Henry Larive and Elizabeth (Valley) Larive had the following children - Peter J., Mary S., Sarah Jane, William H., Frank C., and Asher J. Larive. Henry Larive's parents were Francis Larive and Sarah Ammerican. Francis died May 28, 1884 in Jackson Co., he was born abt. 1795 in Canada. Elizabeth Valley was born in Ireland and her father was James Valley.
Henry W. Doney was born April 7, 1820 in Clarence, Erie Co., NY. and died July 28, 1911 in Jackson Co., MI. His wife Lydia Marie Mayett was born Nov. 1, 1820 in Buckingham, England and died March 24, 1896 in Jackson Co., MI. Their children were Edwin T., Bronson, George W. Frank A., and Cora May (Doney) Larive.
